| Francis Marion University and the Department of Mathematics invite applications for a one-year, non-tenure-track, Instructor of Mathematics, or a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning August 2022. The instructor position is a full-time 9-month appointment with possible renewal. The minimum qualification is a Master’s degree in a related subject and 18 hours of graduate mathematics or statistics courses but a Ph.D. is preferred. Applications for the tenure-track position are sought in any area of mathematics and statistics. Candidates must have a Ph.D. by August 2022 and a strong record of or potential for teaching. Duties include teaching undergraduate courses with activities in scholarship and service expected. Ability to use and teach with technology is recommended. Teaching experience is preferred, and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching is required.
