The University of Melbourne's School of Mathematics and Statistics is one of Australia's leading mathematics and statistics schools. This Research Fellow will be expected to work closely with Dr Hailong Guo on the University of Melbourne funded research program deep learning modelling and simulation for topological materials (funded under the Research Development Grant). While the research program is guided by a set of research questions, there will be considerable scope for this Research Fellow to develop their own ideas within a broader research agenda.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience within numerical solutions for partial differential equations and deep learning. The Research Fellow will be part of the School’s Applied Mathematics group.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 2 years.
