The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University invites applicants for the position of Academic Instruction Coordinator. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure-track position. The Academic Instruction Coordinator will provide leadership and direction in the Department's instruction of undergraduate service courses, particularly precalculus service courses, by working closely with the Undergraduate Program Officer, Graduate Program Officer, and the Department Chair. The duties include but are not limited to: Overseeing the teaching of precalculus service courses; Teaching precalculus service courses; Overseeing and conducting the instructional training of GTAs; Overseeing and conducting assessments of GTA instruction; Working with the Undergraduate Program Officer on Math Placement; Working with the Provost Office and COSAM to create and manage math reparation/bridge programs; Supporting the scheduling of precalculus service courses; Representing the department on state and national entities concerned with the teaching of service mathematics courses.
