Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Specialist Professor in the Mathematics department. This position is for the 2022-2023 academic year and is a two year appointment with the possibility of subsequent multi-year reappointments. Applications received by June 30, 2022 will receive fullest consideration. The application process will remain open until the position is filled.

The candidate would be expected to teach 12 credits of undergraduate mathematics or statistics courses each semester, maintain an active research program, and contribute to department and University service.

Candidates from all areas mathematics are encouraged to apply. Special consideration will be given to candidates with research expertise in an area of mathematics that is conducive to undergraduate involvement.

The Department of Mathematics consists of 12 full-time faculty representing diverse mathematical interests, and serves approximately 100 undergraduate majors seeking degrees in mathematics, statistics, or mathematics and education. Other Requirements:
Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience. Experience in modeling and statistical applications such as regression, design of experiments, and statistical computation; working knowledge of the programming language for statistical computing and graphics, R. Experience with causal inference (either teaching or practice).
