Position Description:    

Applications are invited for tenure-track or visiting professorship positions in the Department of Mathematics at Brigham Young University to begin in August 2023. Starting rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The department has a strong commitment to undergraduate education and has a substantial graduate program. Candidates will be evaluated on evidence of excellent teaching and the potential to make significant research contributions. Applications in all areas of mathematics are welcome. All qualified candidates, including women and members of underrepresented groups, are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is October 29, 2022.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in mathematics; demonstrated excellence in teaching; demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality mathematical research.

Duties and responsibilities: Teaching mathematics at the undergraduate and graduate level; conducting independent research; mentoring students at the Ph.D., master's, and undergraduate levels; supporting university, college, and department goals and missions.
