Assistant Professor of Statistics, Mathematics, or Mathematics Education

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Salisbury University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Statistics, Mathematics, or Mathematics Education. This is a 10-month tenure-track position.

Primary Job Duties: Teaching a broad range of both introductory and upper-level statistics and/or mathematics courses. Academic advising and student mentoring are also expected, as well as participating in scholarly activities and standard university service.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, or Statistics/Mathematics Education with a Master of Mathematics or Statistics, or Ph.D. in a closely related field. Evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development. NOTE: If ABD, the applicant would be hired at the rank of Instructor and expected to complete a doctoral degree within the first year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates from all areas of mathematics will be considered but those with a background for and interest in teaching courses that support our statistics or secondary education programs will be preferred.
