University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Mathematics Tenure-Track Position in Partial Differential Equations Position: One tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Mathematics. Qualifications: The applicant must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. Successful candidates will have demonstrated potential for excellence in mathematics research and teaching and a commitment to an inclusive environment and working with diverse communities. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in theoretical and applied aspects of Partial Differential Equations that complements and extends the research strengths of the department’s Partial Differential Equations group. Starting Date: August 2023 First Review: Review of applications will begin October 12, 2022 and continue until the position is filled. Duties/Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate courses in mathematics. The faculty member will establish a strong, independent research program that provides opportunities for graduate and undergraduate research and has potential for interdisciplinary collaboration. Efforts to obtain external funding are expected. Salary/Benefits: A competitive starting salary will be negotiated.
