DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS STANFORD UNIVERSITY
The Department of Mathematics at Stanford University is considering applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position. A conferred PhD or equivalent international degree is required. Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in research and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, analysis, algebra, number theory, geometry, topology, probability, combinatorics, and applied mathematics. Special consideration given to algebraic areas of research focus. Candidates should send a letter of application with a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, brief statement (no more than five pages) of research and teaching, and a cover sheet clearly stating the following information: name, area of specialization, institution, date of PhD, and PhD advisor. Also, the candidate should arrange to have at least three letters of recommendation submitted (junior candidates only), or names and addresses of three references (senior candidates only). The Mathematics Department, School of Humanities and Sciences, and Stanford University value faculty who are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
