Centre College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning in August 2023. We seek a teacher-scholar with a strong commitment to student-centered, inclusive teaching who will enhance the teaching and learning environment at Centre College with their lived experiences, ideas, perspectives, and scholarship. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in any area of mathematics or statistics by the start of their appointment.

While the area of expertise is open, teaching expectations will include introductory courses, such as our modern calculus sequence, Introduction to Statistics, and Mathematics in our Society, along with courses related to their specialty among upper-level offerings. In addition, there will be opportunities to contribute to the college’s innovative general education curriculum. Collaborative research with undergraduates is strongly encouraged and supported by the college.
