You will have a PhD and a recognised teaching qualification, alongside your knowledge of current mathematics practice in schools, within the New Zealand Curriculum. Your research focus makes an impact in areas that inform teaching and learning in educational settings. You care about cultural diversity and want to support the next generation of teachers to work with diverse learners in contexts where educational outcomes are sought. If you bring knowledge of Māori or Pasifica perspectives these are foregrounded in your work. Motivated to be involved in all aspects of teaching and learning, you enjoy developing research-informed material, delivering content and assessing and appraising in a range of programmes. You are a supportive supervisor of honours, graduate and postgraduate students and their research, alongside your own established and high-level record of research and publishing relevant to the field of mathematics education. Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role You will be further developing your original scholarship and research, offering leadership and mentoring to other staff and supervising student research. Your teaching will be both on campus and online and you will be participating in liaison and evaluative visiting when students are in schools. While the position contributes predominantly to mathematics within initial teacher education programmes, opportunities exist for staff to contribute to other fields that benefit from their knowledge and interests. Salary range: Senior Lecturer $99,780 - $130,902 and Associate Professor $132,540 - $146,190. Ko wai mātou? - Who are we?
