Tenure-Track Position Mathematics The College of Charleston Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2023. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in mathematics by the employment start date. Since teaching, research and service make up the primary responsibilities of the position, a record of and potential for excellence in these areas, including directing student research at both the undergraduate and graduate level, make up the basis for ranking candidates. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the area of discrete mathematics, combinatorics, or related area. However, exceptional candidates in all areas of the mathematical sciences compatible with the department may be considered. The usual teaching load is two sections of a lower division course and one upper level or graduate level course, or an equivalent in four credit hour and three credit hour courses combining to eighteen hours a year.
