Start Date: January 2023 or August 2023

The Department of Mathematics and Economics at Emporia State University (ESU) invites applications for a nine-month, full-time position in mathematics education, either as a tenure-track assistant professor or a non-tenure-track instructor. The secondary education mathematics program at ESU is housed in the Department of Mathematics and Economics and works in conjunction with the Teachers College. Our search will be flexible in the following two respects.

1. The start date may be either January 2023 or August 2023. We prioritize a candidate’s qualifications over their start date.

2. A Ph.D. is required for a tenure-track appointment. For candidates with a master’s degree but no Ph.D., we are also considering filling the position as a non-tenure-track appointment.

Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2022. Applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is closed. Please contact Dr. Daniel Miller (dmille10@emporia.edu) if you have any questions.

We now explain the position’s qualifications and responsibilities according to whether the appointment is as an assistant professor or as an instructor.
