The Department of Mathematics at the University of Texas at San Antonio is soliciting applications for an open-rank tenure/tenure-track (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) faculty position in computational algebra, computational number theory, or coding theory, with priority given to applicants with a proven record in applications to cryptography. The Department of Mathematics has 24 tenured or tenured-track faculty, 36 fixed-term faculty, 20 teaching assistants, and 4 staff members. Research expertise of the Department faculty include the areas of pure mathematics applied mathematics and mathematics education. Three Bachelor of Science degrees are offered: the B.S. degree in Mathematics, the B.S. degree in Mathematics of Data and Computing, and the B.S. degree in Mathematics for Teaching. The Department also offers three Master of Science degrees: M.S. in Applied and Industrial Mathematics, M.S. in Mathematics, and M.S. in Mathematics Education.
