University of Utah, Department of Mathematics NSF-RTG Postdoctoral Positions in Pure Mathematics (2022-2023)
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah invites applications for several non-tenure-track postdoctoral positions in Pure Mathematics.
These are 3-year, termed positions that involve research and teaching, and are funded by the department’s NSF Research Training Grant “Algebra, Geometry and Topology at the University of Utah.” Outstanding candidates in all areas of pure mathematics will be considered.

Applicants to this RTG program must have a PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field and must be US citizens, nationals, or permanent residents.
Applications must include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests and plans, a teaching statement, and four or more letters of recommendation, at least one of which must address the candidate’s teaching record. Applicants are encouraged to address how they will support the department and institutional mission and vision in their materials.
The anticipated start date is July 1, 2023.
Completed applications for postdoctoral positions received before January 1, 2023 will receive full consideration. Review of applications can continue beyond these deadlines until the positions are filled.
