COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS CCAF Instructor Open Pool

The Department of Mathematics at Colorado State University seeks applications throughout the year from talented mathematics professionals who are interested in a non-tenure track assignment.

Instructors are hired on a part-time basis each semester or full-time annual basis which is determined by departmental instructor need, student enrollment numbers, and funding.

Instructor applicants must hold a M.S. in Mathematics or a closely related area, and have previous university teaching experience in Mathematics.

Non-tenure track Assistant Professor applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or closely related areas, and have 3 years previous university teaching experience in Mathematics. Position assignments typically last for a minimum of 9-months period and can be either full-time or part-time depending on needs of the department.

The successful candidates will be expected to be involved in instruction of our service courses, which may include precalculus, our calculus sequences, differential equations, linear algebra, or other assigned courses. We may seek particular expertise in coordination or instruction for our Precalculus Center. Collaboration with the existing faculty in the Department of Mathematics as well as other departments involved in STEM education at CSU on course and curriculum development and best teaching practices is expected. Active participation in our service and outreach mission within the department, college and university will be encouraged.
