The Institute of Algebra, Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics invites applications for several positions of Research Assistants (Postdocs, m/f/d) in Algebra, Number Theory or Arithmetic Geometry (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)to be appointed on October 1st, 2023 or earlier. The positions are limited to 2 years. An extension might become possible.
Responsibilities and dutiesFor these positions, responsibilities and duties include contribution to the teaching of the department (4 hours per week), research in algebra, number theory, or arithmetic geometry and participation in duties of the institute. Employment conditionsTo qualify for the position, applicants should hold a scientific university degree in mathematics. Furthermore, a doctoral degree with above-average success in number theory, arithmetic or algebraic geometry is expected.
