Brewton-Parker College currently seeks to fill a full-time position on the mathematics faculty in the division of mathematics and natural sciences, scheduled to begin in the 2023 fall semester. Salary and faculty rank will be determined commensurate with academic credentials, experience, and other factors.

The College: Brewton-Parker College, tracing its origin to 1904, is a four-year, coeducational Christian comprehensive college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, offering twenty-four areas of undergraduate study to a diverse population of about 800 students in the micropolitan setting of Mount Vernon/Vidalia in the South-Central region of Georgia. As a Georgia Baptist institution, Brewton-Parker affirms the supremacy of Christ and expects members of the faculty and administration to model Christian values before the students, in their professional activities, and in their lives.

Duties and Qualifications: To begin August 1st, 2023, faculty duties will include teaching a variety of mathematics and statistics courses in support of the general education core and majors in the health and exercise science professions, as well as quantitative analysis courses in business and the behavioral sciences. Duties also will include assisting in workshop presentations through the Academic Success Center, student advisement, service on college committees, and other responsibilities of the full-time faculty. Candidates must be flexible to teach both in-seat and online, and both on-campus as well as at one of the college's external prison sites for incarcerated adults.

Qualified candidates must hold at least a master’s degree in the field of mathematics or in an allied discipline with at least a graduate concentration (18 semester hours) in the required teaching discipline. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the level of experience and expertise needed to teach at the collegiate level. Preference will be given to candidates with a record of secondary- or college-level teaching experience in the field, as well as to those who hold a terminal degree.
