Non Tenure-Track Positions 12 Month Instructor/Assistant Professor

The University of South Alabama Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a continuing, non-tenure track (12-month) Instructor/Assistant Professor position in mathematics and/or statistics, starting August 15, 2023.

The position will involve regular professional development, service to the department and university, administrative duties, as well as other teaching related activities.

Instructor applicants must have at least a master’s degree in mathematics or statistics (with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). Non-tenure track Assistant Professor applicants must hold a doctorate in mathematics or a related field (with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching and service. To apply, submit a cover letter, vita, a statement of teaching philosophy, the names and contact information for three references, and unofficial graduate and undergraduate transcripts. Review of applications will begin on February 1, 2023, and continue until the position is filled. Applications should be submitted online at www.mathjobs.org.
