The teaching load is the equivalent of five semester-long undergraduate courses a year and includes the direction of senior-thesis research projects. We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching and research, and who are excited about mentoring and supervising undergraduate research. Pomona College is a highly selective residential liberal arts college located 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. It is the founding member of the Claremont Colleges, a consortium of seven institutions with over forty active mathematicians. Fifty-two percent of our current cohort of first-year students (class of 2023) self-identify as domestic students of color, 11% international and 19% are first generation college students.
