Our research group at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle is full of ex-math and ex-physics researchers, so we speak your language.
Some current projects: • reconstructing and modeling evolutionary histories in the densely-sampled regime (e.g. SARS-CoV-2) • integrating measurements and predictions of protein function into models of antibody affinity maturation • developing modern machine-learning approaches to Bayesian phylogenetic inference The group is well funded by the NIH and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
