Position Description

Job Overview
The position will begin on August 15, 2023. The review of applicants will begin on December 15, 2022.
Essential Functions
- maintaining an active research program in mathematics
- mentoring graduate students
- teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses in mathematics
- filling service roles for the university and mathematical community, such as participation in department and college committees, editorial work, and engagement with professional organizations.
The standard teaching load for research-active faculty is six credit hours (approximately two courses) per semester. New faculty receive a 25% teaching reduction and reduced service role in each of the first two years.
Minimum Requirements
- The position requires a Ph.D. degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a closely related field.
