Visiting Assistant Professor/ Mathematics and Computer Science The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Spring Hill College, a Jesuit liberal arts college in Mobile, AL, invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2023. This appointment is for one year, with the potential for a longer-term appointment, based upon the needs of the College as well as the applicant’s qualifications and performance. The successful applicant will teach a range of undergraduate mathematics courses as well as, if appropriate, introductory computer science courses. Preference will be given to candidates with PhD in Mathematics or Computer Science. Candidates with a PhD in a closely related field and/or demonstrated experience with computing as well as ABD candidates will also be considered. Candidates should express an interest in undergraduate teaching, research, and mentoring as well as a desire to support the Jesuit mission (http://www.shc.edu). In addition, candidates should address their experience and/or interest in working with diverse student populations.
