The Rutgers Mathematics Department offers various postdoctoral positions in Mathematics. These include several Hill Assistant Professorships, which are three-year non-tenure track, non-renewable, Post-Doctoral Research instructorships. Subject to availability of funding, the department expects to have several of these positions that will start in Fall of 2023. These positions carry a teaching load of 3 single-semester courses per year. Candidates should have received a Ph.D. by the time the position starts, and show outstanding promise of research ability in pure or applied mathematics as well as a capacity for effective teaching.

In addition, various postdoctoral research positions may become available, which may or may not carry teaching responsibilities.

  • a curriculum vitae (including a publication list)
  • a research statement (of up to about 5 pages)
  • a teaching statement.
Arrange for four letters of reference to be submitted, including one which evaluates teaching. If possible, the teaching letter should reference quantitative results of teaching evaluations.
