The Department has active research programs in a broad spectrum of centrally important areas of pure mathematics, computational and applied mathematics, combinatorics, mathematical computer science and scientific computing, probability and statistics, and mathematics education. Applications are invited for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor position effective August 16, 2023. The position will be responsible for the coordination of courses and programs for undergraduates majoring in Mathematics. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, or a closely related field. Final authorization of position is subject to the availability of funding.

Responsibilities include teaching, coordination of courses, curricular development and reform, oversight of placement, development and maintenance of a set of recurring activities to support professional development of mathematics majors, and playing an advisory role to the Director of Undergraduate Studies. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional competence in teaching and excellent organizational and leadership skills.
