Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematics at Bowdoin College invites applications for a one-year, full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin July 1, 2023. The position has a teaching load of two courses per semester. Ph.D. is expected by the time of appointment. We look forward to welcoming an individual who shares our goal of fostering an inclusive mathematical community through exemplary teaching, mentoring, and outreach.

Applicants will provide evidence of excellence in teaching and support for inclusion and diversity inside or outside the classroom.   In both areas, we appreciate that a candidate's experiences may be commensurate with their career stage. A successful candidate will have completed at least one semester of teaching as the primary instructor or instructor of record. Applications are invited in all fields of mathematics and statistics.
