The University of Western Ontario invites applications for a Probationary Teaching Scholar (TS) position. The start date is anticipated to be no later than September 1, 2023. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

Applicants must have a PhD degree in Mathematics or closely related subject, as well as previous experience in teaching mathematics at the university level. The appointment will be made to the Department of Mathematics, and the successful candidate will support the teaching mission of the Department. Teaching duties will include up to 6 one-semester courses per year at the undergraduate level. The TS position also has a scholarship component: the candidate is expected to engage in scholarship activities that broaden the scope of their teaching responsibilities, and to share their expertise with colleagues.
