Applications
are invited for the appointment as Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in the
Department of Mathematics (Ref.: 519208), to commence on September 1, 2023, or as soon as possible,
on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal. The
Department is looking for candidates who are experienced in and committed to
quality teaching of undergraduate mathematics subjects. Applicants should
possess a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or in a related
discipline. Proficiency in English and enthusiasm for teaching are
essential. The appointee is expected to teach core undergraduate courses
and to undertake some administrative duties of the Department if needed. For
appointment as Lecturer, a minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience
at the tertiary level is required. Applicants with less experience may be
considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer. Fresh Ph.D. graduates
are welcome to apply. A
highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will
be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current
rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment
will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a
retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary for Lecturer, or
up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Lecturer. The
