The Department of Mathematics at the University of Dayton invites applications for a two-year appointment as visiting assistant professor to begin August 16, 2023. The Department of Mathematics has a diverse faculty with a broad range of research interests. More than thirty percent of our faculty are women, and close to half of our current majors are women. The current faculty in the department actively engage in collaborative research with a variety of departments within the university, as well as organizations outside the university. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research agenda in an area of mathematics or statistics. The teaching load consists of three courses per semester including service courses populated primarily by non-majors. Qualifications · ABD nearing completion
of all requirements for the PhD in an area of mathematics or statistics at the
time of application. · Potential to become an
effective teacher of mathematics or statistics courses. · Active research in an
area of mathematics or statistics. · Effective written
communications skills.
