The Department of Mathematics in Penn State's Eberly College of Science is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar. The successful candidate will work with Professor Alberton Bressan in the area of theory, computational methods, and applications of hyperbolic conservation laws. This appointment may include the possibility of teaching. 

Education and Experience 
The position requires a completed Ph.D. preferred in mathematics or applied mathematics. The position is ideal for someone with training in analysis, theoretical or numerical PDEs, control theory and optimization. Programming experience is a plus.
