REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in Mathematics or closely related discipline such as Physical Science or Engineering is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Doctorate degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is preferred. Experience teaching a wide range of undergraduate mathematics courses at the collegiate level. SPECIAL CONDITIONS

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Mathematics Department offers a full range of undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses. There are approximately 175 sections of math classes each quarter with an average lower-division enrollment of 35 per class. The faculty consists of approximately 33 permanent faculty, 15 temporary (both full-time and part-time), and 15 graduate teaching associates. The Mathematics Department does not offer any courses in statistics or computer science. Applicants interested in teaching in those areas should contact the Statistics Department or the Computer Science Department.
