Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics position for appointment beginning Fall 2023. The primary qualification for this one-year appointment is excellence in teaching. The contractual teaching load is 12 credit hours of mathematics courses per semester.

The Department of Mathematics has 14 full-time professionally active faculty members who oversee degree programs leading to a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences, a B.A. in Mathematical Sciences (for elementary educators), a B.S. in Actuarial Science, a B.S. in Data Science and Statistics, and a M.A. in Mathematics for Teachers. The Department also provides numerous curricular offerings serving the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, and Engineering.

Applicants must have or expect to receive a Ph.D. in mathematics or in one of the mathematical sciences by the time this appointment begins. Applicants must also have a record of excellence in and a strong commitment to teaching.
