The faculty in the Department of Mathematics invite applications for multiple Visiting Faculty positions for the 2023-24 academic year. Applicants must have a M.A., M.S., or Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences, completed no later than August 2023. Teaching load is four courses per semester.

Our department seeks to build a community that champions the mathematician in everyone. We are home to four undergraduate degree programs and offer minors in mathematics, statistics, and applied mathematics. We also collaborate in a new interdisciplinary honors program in data science. Class sizes are kept small to promote close faculty-student interaction for discussion, exploration and thought. A successful candidate will be expected to utilize innovative and effective approaches in their teaching.

Xavier’s urban location in Cincinnati allows faculty to work with community partners to develop engaged learning and internship opportunities. Xavier is a member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities as well as the Big East.
