DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED MATHEMATICS

Postdoctoral Fellow (Ref. 230425007) [Appointment period: twenty-four months initially, with possibility of further appointment]

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “New computational techniques and numerical analysis for differential equations”.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Mathematics or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.

Preference will be given to those who have a strong background in PDE analysis or numerical analysis and have worked on one of the following topics:

(a) well-posedness of nonlinear PDEs;

(b) numerical analysis; and;

(c) geometric flow (curvature flow), surface evolution, and related topics.
