| The Mathematics Department at Princeton University seeks to appoint 2 full-time Lecturers with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2023. The successful candidates will teach courses during the academic year and summer, organize and run academic year mentoring programs, work with the Math Placement Officer and Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies to advise incoming students about math placement during the summer, and organize and staff orientation and placement activities that take place for incoming students in August. Candidates will also be responsible for coordinating activities between the Department, the Office of the Dean of the College, and the Emma Bloomberg Center for Access and Opportunity in order to further access initiatives in the Department.
The initial term of appointments will be for a period of up to three years, with the possibility of renewal conditional on course enrollments, satisfactory performance, and departmental need. Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. in mathematics or related fields, demonstrated experience working with a diverse population of student learners, experience in creating and implementing inclusive pedagogy, and classroom teaching experience. Candidates should be accomplished educators and scholars who have teaching and research experience and a track record of mentoring undergraduate students in innovative assignments.
