The Mathematics Department at Central Washington University seeks to fill a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position with approximately 75% effort going towards College in the High School and 25% to teaching beginning June 16, 2023. This position could be based either in Ellensburg or in Sammamish. This job will require extensive travel across the state of Washington to observe high school teachers. Faculty will integrate CWU’s commitment to diversity and create a learning environment that is welcoming, accessible and inclusive for all students.

The CWU College in the High School program serves 6,000+ students across the state. This includes all disciplines but about half of that is math alone. The program allows high school students to take CWU courses from approved high school teachers. CWU sets the minimum qualifications to teach and conducts reviews of applications to determine if a high school teacher is eligible. During the summer we host required training sessions for the teachers which are put on by the High School Partnerships office and the respective disciplines. This job will require extensive travel across the state of Washington where you have the opportunity to meet with hundreds of teachers and directly see the impact you are making.
