The School has research links with Space Park Leicester, the Institute for Environmental Futures, the Institute of Precision Medicine, the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment and the Department of Genetics & Genome Biology at the University of Leicester, and is a founding member of the College of Science and Engineering’s Centre for AI, Data Analytics and Modelling.
The role includes an expectation of leadership, development and delivery of research and teaching in their respective areas as well as contributions to the management of the School, College and University.
Candidates are expected to show expertise in Computational/Mathematical Modelling, including development of mathematical models for interdisciplinary applications, development of numerical methods, development of in-house software.
Exceptionally strong candidates with a clear, well-built research programme may be offered a reduced teaching load over the first two years of their appointment (subject to negotiation).
