Birmingham-Southern College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Applied Computer Science beginning fall 2023, with the potential for renewal for a second year. The area of specialty is open. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field by August 2023.

A residential liberal arts college enrolling approximately 800 undergraduate students, BSC is included in Pope’s Colleges that Change Lives and is a sheltering institution for Phi Beta Kappa. The College recently endured a funding crisis and is in the process of rebuilding the faculty and staff.

Providing an outstanding undergraduate education is the primary mission of the College, and applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. All faculty members are expected to participate fully in the life of the department and College. The typical teaching load is 3-1-3.
