The Department of Mathematics in the College of Science at Northeastern University invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track position of Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor of Mathematics at our Oakland, CA campus, starting in the Fall semester 2023. This is a full time, benefits eligible position. Teaching Professors are responsible for a 6-course teaching load, 3 courses per semester, and will participate in departmental, college, and university service. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Mathematics, from introductory to advanced levels, have a strong commitment to and experience in undergraduate teaching, and contribute to curriculum development and student advising. Qualifications Qualified candidates should be committed to fostering diverse and inclusive environments as well as to promoting experiential learning, which are central to a Northeastern University education.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics or a related field by the appointment start date. At least one year of teaching experience as instructor of undergraduate courses required. The expected hiring range for Assistant Teaching Professor is USD $58,500 to USD $94,500 USD, based upon the position’s scope and responsibilities. The expected hiring range for Associate Teaching Professor is USD $69,300 to USD $114,800 based upon the position’s scope and responsibilities.
