The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Montana Tech is pleased to announce an opening for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor. Montana Technological University, a regionally accredited college in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, primarily offers degrees in the sciences and engineering. The Mathematical Sciences Department offers undergraduate majors in Mathematical Sciences (with options in mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics) and Data Science. The normal teaching load for the position is 9 – 14 credits per semester. The primary duties of the position are to teach courses in mathematics, data science, and statistics. Visiting Assistant Professors may also be expected to work with undergraduate students on research/capstone projects as part of their workload.
