The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at James Madison University invites applications for a 10-month instructional faculty at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor, starting August 2023. These appointments are non-tenure track and for 1 year only. Three positions are available, focusing on high-quality undergraduate education in Mathematics and Statistics. Teaching assignments will include courses in Statistical Literacy, Introductory Statistics, College Algebra, and Introductory Calculus. Relative to teaching expectations, the expectations for scholarship and service are minimal. Special assignments may replace some portion of the teaching load, based on candidate interest and at the discretion of the Academic Unit Head.
