St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Department of Mathematics, beginning August 2023. The successful candidates will demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching.

For consideration, candidates must have a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or Applied Math.

Essential Responsibilities: Candidates should have the interest and ability or potential to teach a range of undergraduate courses and support a diverse student body. Other essential responsibilities include

  • Teaching three to four courses per semester according to departmental needs and course assignments. Preference for applicants with experience teaching Calculus, Discrete Math, and College Algebra.
  • Teaching introductory courses in mathematics, to both majors and non-majors.
  • Participating in other school and department service activities, where applicable.
  • Opportunities to teach upper division courses according to the candidate's expertise.
  • Opportunities to supervise undergraduate research may be available.
  • Other duties as assigned
