Position Description
Job Summary
The Mathematics Department at Central Washington University is accepting applications to fill current and future full-time, part-time, quarterly, and annual appointment lecturer positions. Responsibilities may include teaching developmental mathematics, general education, precalculus, and the calculus sequence. This list is not all inclusive, other courses may become available within the department.

Minimum Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD Degree (or ABD for PhD) in Mathematics or Mathematics Education
- Experience teaching mathematics at the college level.
- Experience with interactive teaching techniques
- Evidence of teaching excellence and strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
- Experience with online or hybrid course delivery
- Demonstrated ability to work with students at all skill levels
- Teaching, research, service, or other experience that has prepared the candidate to contribute to CWU’s commitment to the engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse students and campus communities.

The minimum remuneration for the non-tenure-track titles for the 2022-2023 academic year will be as follows:
(a) Lecturer: $1,110 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $887
per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
(b) Senior Lecturer: $1,221 per workload unit for faculty with terminal
degrees; $975 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
Full-time employment is 15 workload units quarterly or 45 workload units for the academic year.

Additional Information: This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for a math position in the CWU Department of Mathematics located in Ellensburg, Washington. There is a possibility that selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis through March 2024.
Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue until filled. This positions will start at the beginning of fall quarter. Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through March 2024.
