Position Description:    

Tenure Track Position in Mathematics 

Position
One tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Data Science in the Department of Mathematics, University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field and a demonstrated potential for excellence in data science research and teaching. The successful candidate will also have a commitment to an inclusive environment and working with diverse communities. Preference will be given to applicants whose work complements the existing research strengths in the Department as well as in other departments at the University of Nebraska. 

Starting Date: August 19, 2024

First Review
Review of applications will begin October 16, 2023 and continue until suitable candidates have been selected.

Duties/Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate courses in the mathematics department, including courses in data science. The ideal candidate will be able to establish a strong, independent research program. More information may be found at https://math.unl.edu/jobs.
