Applications are invited for an Assistant Professor post in the School of Mathematics, in the area of Industrial and interdisciplinary Applied Mathematics.

The successful candidate will contribute to the School’s strategic goals by conducting high-quality research, growing and diversifying our engagement with other academic disciplines and non-academic stakeholders, and developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate education in Applied Mathematics. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute management/leadership, and enterprise activities, as appropriate. The minimum qualification is a PhD (or equivalent) in Mathematics or a related area. Candidates are expected to have an internationally-excellent research record with an upward trajectory, and the potential to make excellent contributions to teaching, mentoring and service. Full consideration will be given to applicants with proven potential to contribute to research activities in other disciplines and for the benefit of stakeholders beyond the university sector.
