Position Description
University of Utah, Department of Mathematics
Tenure-track or tenured position in Pure Mathematics (2023-2024)
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah invites applications for a full-time tenure-track or tenured position in pure mathematics at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Outstanding candidates in all areas of pure mathematics will be considered.
Ideal applicants would complement our existing research strengths, be effective educators, and foster a diverse and inclusive environment within the department and at the University of Utah. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field.
Review of complete applications will begin on November 1, 2023, and will continue until the positions are filled. The position has an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024.
Applications must include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a statement of research interests and plans, a teaching statement, and four or more letters of recommendation, at least one of which must address the candidate’s teaching record.
