Career-Line (Lecturer) Faculty Positions in Mathematics (2023-2024)

 

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah invites applications for one or more entry-level Career-Line faculty positions at the anticipated rank of Assistant Professor (Lecturer).

 

Candidates are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in Mathematics or closely related field by July 1, 2024, or a Master of Science degree in Mathematics or closely related field by the same date and have a substantial record of relevant experience. Ideal applicants will have a solid mathematical background and a demonstrated dedication to teaching and mentoring, and would foster a diverse and inclusive environment within the department and at the University of Utah. Successful candidates will be expected to teach six courses, or equivalent, per academic year, primarily at the Calculus and Precalculus levels and, if appropriate, in our Math Education program. They will have opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, course coordination, and other professional development activities.

 

Review of complete applications will begin on November 15, 2023, and will continue until the positions are filled.  We expect to start interviewing candidates in December.  The position has an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024.
