Fellowship Description

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Regina is seeking candidates for nomination for a PIMS Postdoctoral Fellowship, which will be a two-year appointment starting July 1, 2024. The field of research is open, but priority will be given to candidates whose documented research complement current faculty expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two courses per academic year, to collaborate on research with members of the Department, and to mentor graduate students. The annual salary for this position is 62,000 Canadian dollars. Postdoctoral fellows at the University of Regina are members of the University's group life insurance, dental, and extended health plans.

The Department has 20 research-active faculty covering many areas of mathematics and statistics. There are also 40 graduate students split between PhD and Masters programs. As a member of the Pacific Institute of Mathematics Sciences (PIMS), the Department enjoys opportunities for program funding and for interaction with the other mathematics research departments in Western Canada.
