University of Oklahoma Department of Mathematics Renewable Term Position in Mathematics The Department of Mathematics at the University of Oklahoma (OU) is seeking to strengthen its First-Year Mathematics program. OU is experiencing an exciting multi-year period of growth. We are looking for an Instructor/Lecturer in Mathematics who understands the balance of meeting the needs of incoming students while maintaining academic excellence. We encourage dynamic and innovative individuals to apply for the renewable term faculty position listed below. Note that it is likely that we be hiring more than one position from the pool. For the position(s), normal duties consist of teaching the equivalent of 24 credits per year and rendering service to the department and university. Some evening work is expected, which includes proctoring during the uniform examinations as well as helping with review sessions and evening tutoring prior to coordinated examinations.
The
position is likely to have some leadership responsibilities most likely related
to course coordination (or possibly mathematics tutoring center administration).
Some work writing reports, leading training sessions for new TAs and tutors,
and observing new instructors is also likely. The salary is competitive and is
commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University of Oklahoma
