University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Mathematics The Department of Mathematics invites applications for Van Vleck Visiting Assistant Professorships to begin on August 19, 2024 contingent upon budgetary approval. Appointments are normally for a fixed term of three years. The usual teaching load is three courses per year. Candidates with interests overlapping those of specific faculty members may be offered support from sponsored research grants together with a lower teaching load. Promise of excellence in research and teaching is important. The ideal candidates will have research overlap with other department members, and will be able to interact in a productive manner with faculty, staff and students.
