SUMMARY: The person in this position will create new financial and operational Tableau dashboards, reports, and presentations, recreate and automate current reports, and help draw insights from data across a number of databases. This position requires proficiency in business intelligence tools and a strong analytical mind to perform strategic business analyses for various departments and synthesize findings for business leaders, volunteer leadership, and our members. These analyses will clearly present information and provide the foundation for current and future business strategies. The data that is modeled and analyzed will be used to monitor existing processes and identify areas for improvement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: General Efficient analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly scope and deliver on an analytical ask and to work iteratively to refine a solution as needed. Create and automate reports for different business units. Ability to think strategically and bring thought leadership and guidance to the cross-functional teams with which this role partners. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that data presented supports the analytics and insights needed for decision making. Keep up to date with technological advancements in the analytics industry. Play a key role in customer relationship and business insight conversations with technical, financial, business, and marketing teams. Lead, manage, and/or participate in projects that involve many unknowns and numerous potential solutions. Maintain departmental and organizational standards for information maintenance, filing systems, process documentation, confidentiality, data security, and branding. Perform other or similar related duties as requested or assigned. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: Build and maintain an excellent teamwork relationship within the Computer Services Division and with senior leadership. Gain knowledge about other departments’ work through communication with fellow staff members in order to speak more effectively with project clients and stakeholders. Collaborate readily with the CIO and the rest of the Division by sharing ideas, skills, and expertise to move the Division forward. Work effectively and professionally with external constituents. Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent technical expertise. College course work in mathematics, statistics, or related areas required. General knowledge in the following areas: IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies; IT architectures and data standards; and general knowledge of business function(s) and of business operations. Extensive knowledge of data design and tools required. Good analytical and communication skills. Experience with Microsoft software, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in SQL Server, SQL, and DBMS languages and tools. Certified Tableau Data Analyst Strong working knowledge of R, Crystal Reports, and other BI Tools for data transformation, validation, presentation, and testing. Technical aptitude to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies. Enthusiasm for problem-solving and exploring and deriving insights from large datasets. Ability to translate complex analysis findings into a clear narrative and actionable insights to communicate to stakeholders. Experience visualizing data for wide consumption, with Tableau experience a plus. Ability to think about the business holistically and from the viewpoint of the customer. Experience/familiarity working with demographics, ERP, CRM, and accounting recommended. Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to spot inconsistencies; ability to follow and update written documentation of procedures. Experience in coordinating multiple projects to meet schedules. Excellent reading and writing skills; ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers in person, by phone, and via teleconference.
